The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Electricity (OE) pioneers advanced technologies to transform the nation’s electric grid. OE is at the forefront of research and development, and demonstration, creating new technologies to improve the grid infrastructure and ensure that resilient, reliable, secure, and affordable electricity is available to all Americans.

Our Mission

OE drives innovation to strengthen, improve, and transform our electricity delivery system to reliably power our homes, industry, and communities. OE leverages its expertise in cutting- edge research, system-level analyses, and partnerships with energy transition stakeholders to develop advanced systems and technologies that meet today’s needs and are ready for tomorrow’s challenges.

$15M Awarded for Innovations Under Long Duration Energy EarthShot
