Illuminating LightDianaI used this in a glass cabinet for my plants. It is bright enough to provide additional light. The light is the right size for the stand up cabinet too.5

Perfect for my purposeLisaThis worked well to mount at the front inside edge of a storage alcove next to my front door, to light up the interior. I needed something long, skinny and not thick. Harder to find than one would think. Had to jerry-rig the holding brackets to fit my situation (used nails driven into joists, since I couldn't find small screws long enough). Very pleased with the result. FWIW, I'm not making use of the 'auto' feature so can't comment on how well that works.5

Not suitable for under-cabinetAndorMaybe good for drawers and closets, but not suitable for under-cabinet - batteries do not last very long. Should have an option for a powered (AC) adaptor.2

Buyer bewareLillyThe sensors do not work and the light is dim. The reviewed are correct. 2

Batteries don't lastToniI was very excited about these lights. They were fairly easy to install and did exactly what we needed. When one of the lights stopped working after being used 2 nights we thought it was faulty batteries. We recharged the batteries and the next night the second light was dead. They require 4 batteries and only last a few hours. That is unacceptable. I will be returning them. I've had very good experiences with Ikea products over the years. I'm not sure what is wrong with this product.2

Not bad, but horrible battery lifeMatthewContrary to some of the other reviews on here I actually love these—in theory. They weren’t too hard to install and I find it not too difficult to remove to change the batteries. The real issue here is the abysmal battery life. We didn’t skimp on battery brand either. Got Duracell Ultramax. We use them for maybe an hour a day and they are dead within a week! C’mon man!1

Easy to break.NaokoBattery change is extremely difficult.1

Worst IKEA product I have ever purchasedTreeWe are huge fans of IKEA. These lights are the worst. The installation clip was so difficult to use. Why would you design something with this kind of a bracket when most of the lights would be installed under a cabinet. And a cabinet that needs lighting at that! Then once I got them installed, albeit one side wiggled quite a bit because it wouldn't fully clip. Then the sensors didnt work. And even if I just used the ON setting they flickered , dimmed and went out. I took them off the cabinets in the kitchen thinking I could use them in my closet. NOPE all the issues were the same. I would like my money back, but I bought them a while ago and no longer have the receipt. These should be discontinued.1

Sensors OK. DOES NOT STAY IN PLACEDeannaContrary to many reviews stating that the sensors are defective, mine work great in my kitchen! I have two installed across my cabinets in my apartment and they work very well. The light stays on when it's dark and on auto mode. My biggest challenge is getting them to stay up! The fastening bracket is very weird and does not feel secure. And to no surprise at all, they randomly just fall out onto my countertop. The worst part is when they fall INTO THE FOOD I'M PREPARING! I would LOVE some help to securely fasten them so I can remove when battery needs replacing and rely that they will stay up when they're in use.3

Doesn’t workBetsy S.I charged this hours, used the Ikea brand rechargeable batteries and the sensor doesn’t work. Tried putting it in multiplePlaces in my apartment and the sensor did not work no matter where I placed it.1

HorribleVanessaI was so excited for this and got home more than a hour away from the nearest store and it’s defective and doesn’t work . Sensor is horrible and even when “on” it doesn’t stay on . The gas will be more than what it’s worth to drive back and return. Total waste1

Sturdy cabinet light.ValeriaSturdy and bright enough to distinguish black from navy blue in a dark drawer.5

Not reliableJiaxinOut of two I bought, one was defective and wouldn't stay on for more than 20 seconds when the switch is set to "on". The other one was OK, but it has trouble turning itself on in "auto" mode sometimes. I installed mine in a dark corner of the kitchen and the auto sensor seems to be affected by the lack of light.1

5 out of 6 of these never workedGeriI purchased 6 of these lights and from the start the sensor on 5 out of the 6 never worked, a very big disappointment and too big a deal to send them back. No excuse for so many failures and I would definitely not recommend this product. Money wasted.1

Closet lightNellyI had one of these in my closet but I tried changing the batteries and it wouldn't turn back on so I went and got another one. These are my fav. Very easily replaced.5

Nice undercounterSueEasy to install5

LightsKimberlyAbout average but really do not cover the degree of space in the cabinet that o thought they would when the lights are off or dimmed. I was disappointed.3

usefull to see insideDidierinside the cabinet it is very dark due to the color (brown). It is necessary to have one5

Great lightPatEasy to install and love that there were no electrical wires to connect. Very good light. Plan to buy more.5
